I’m very comfortable to say my life has had its ups and downs. Anxiety and depression have played a role in the roller coaster of my life as it has others. With help from loved ones and hard work I’m blessed to be on-top of my mental health currently. It is peace of mind to know I have the tools, if things get bad, to put in place the things to stay healthy.

Meditation is a big part of this, and more specifically practising mindfulness and being present in one’s life. The age we live in is on hyper drive, full of distractions, and slowing the mind down can be a real challenge sometimes. This can affect sleep, ruminating on things, focus… the list goes on. Meditation, for me and many others, is the go-to to counteract this.

This is a great free app. It has a good healthy balance of theory and practice for the beginner, but also a great foundation for any level. Just 5 minutes will help, but longer guided sessions are available. It all helps.
